Technology in the Classroom

As the world around us continues to grow and improve especially in the world of technology it is essential that students and therefore teachers are efficient in understanding how to use the technology to their advantage.

During my time in the classroom I have gotten a chance to work with several instruments of tech that I have found useful for teaching.

I even had the pleasure of attending a TI-Nspire workshop with my AT class as well as working with 3-D lazer printers when I interned at the Cade Museum in the summer of 2016.
Below are a few of the ones I have found most useful.

Tech for displaying information

- Ladybug/Overhead Projector

- Smart boards

- PowerPoint (Example)

- PDF Editor (PDFZorro)

Tech for exploring information

- Student Chromebooks

- TI-Nspire calculators

- 3-D lazer printer
- Khan Academy

- Desmos, Geogebra, Algebra Nation, Pearson Teaching and similar sites

Tech for assessing/recording student knowledge

- Florida Teaching Resources DVD for Algebra 1 by Prentice Hall

- Infinite Campus

- ClassDojo

- Plickers

- Kahoot!
